Space Shuttle Retirement Flyover

17 April 2012

On 17 Apr 2012, they flew the Space Shuttle Discovery on the back of a 747 from Florida to the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum near Dulles Airport. This included a fly-over of DC. The shuttle made three or four passes around DC. It turns out that my office building, located between DC and Dulles, was an excellent vantage point.

These pictures are much much bigger than my usual pictures. Use caution if you're going to download them.

First four pictures taken by Louis Park from our office window.
